IBI Group was retained by Metrolinx to develop Mobility Hub Guidelines – strategies and approaches in creating a network of 51 identified mobility hubs across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, as part of The Big Move. This work included extensive consultation with Metrolinx staff, provincial ministries, municipalities, and transit agencies from across the GTHA.

The resulting guidelines document, currently in draft review, provided realistic and applicable transportation, land use, and placemaking strategies, coupled with innovative approaches for successful implementation. Prior to this work, IBI Group was also retained by Metrolinx to review each mobility hub identified in the Metrolinx RTP and provide a number of key indicators intended to quantify the attributes described above, using the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) Model developed with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).
